MEET THE TEAM

Everstory is the culmination of a photojournalist who found purpose in ethically told stories, a narrative filmmaker that fell in love with the unscripted and a camp videographer who discovered his voice through storytelling.

MAXWELL DURYEA

Director of Photography / Storyteller

Maxwell - director of photography + extreme mountain biker. He comes from the world of photojournalism. He has always had a knack for visual storytelling.  He started by telling stories with his Nikon FM-10 back in highschool during a Black + White photography class. Since then he has gone on to work with local New Mexican newspapers, travelled to places like Fiji and Germany and Bermuda and Iceland to tell stories of extraordinary people. In 2013, he left the stills side of photography and jumped into filmmaking head-first. He made a mini documentary on a local French Bread Baker and was hooked.

R.J. ANTHONY

Camera Operator / Editor / Storyteller

R.J. - lead editor + storyteller + Mountain Dew connoisseur. RJ began to create short films with his friends during his middle school years. They were limited to a simple VHS camcorder and had no access to editing software, but that didn’t stop him. Over the next few years, RJ continued to dive into the world of filmmaking and developed a love for how a story came together during the editing process. He enjoys the documentary-style filmmaking process, meeting interesting people, and (most importantly) seeing the impact that a powerful story has on those who hear it.

JUSTIN HOLTZEN

Camera Operator / Editor / Storyteller

Justin - producer + editor + musician. His background in narrative and fictional filmmaking has helped to implement story and emotional interest to our projects. He started making short films with his friends when he was 14 years old and from then on, he was hooked. He graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2014 with a B.A. in Media Arts. Soon after, he joined Moji Cinema and loves the organic process and collaboration associated with documentary style filmmaking. He enjoys making short films and playing music in his free time.
